I finally made it to Paris.  I was so exhausted I took a taxi from the airport to my hotel and it was worth every Euro as we drove past Notre Dame all lit up.  My first sight of the Paris I've come to see.  Then the icing on the cake...I feel like I couldn't have asked for a more perfect hotel.  True the room is small by American standards, but for me it's wonderful.

The area is perfect too.  Lots of foot traffic and too many restaurants to choose from.  I had dinner at a darling little place.  The waiter tried to make me promise to come back tomorrow for more wine, but we'll see.

Now it's off to bed and tomorrow is the first day of museums!
