Today I decided to really play tourist. I bought a ticket for the L'Open Tour bus and rode around and around the city. Then I stayed on for a night bus ride as well. Enjoy the photos!

Paris, Day 6
The real joy to me of having been to Paris so recently is that I've already seen so much and I don't feel the pressure to see it all again. Now I can continue to spend my days walking around this beautiful city.
As you can see, the weather has been a bit gloomy today, but I love it. The breeze is cool and Paris is still stunning in the gloom.
Today I've been back to the Musee D'Orsay. I didn't have quite as much time as I would have liked, since I had another meeting. But I made time to see my favorites. The Van Goghs and the Impressionists. I'm having a bit of difficulty fighting the crowds. As you all know, normally I try to travel in the off seasons so I'm not faced with more tourists than I can handle, sadly that has not been the case this summer. I will however, carry on.
Having finished my meeting, I'm enjoying a well deserved glass of vin blanc at Cafe de Flore around the corner from my apartment. It's one of two cafes famous for being frequented by people like Hemingway. I think I'll sit here a bit longer and maybe pick up some inspiration.

Paris, Day 5.1
So here's another shot I got today of Notre Dame. I didn't end up going inside today as the line was ridiculously long.
I was able to go into the Crypte Archeologique though and see some of the original Roman foundations of Paris.
Nothing else too exciting happened for most of the day. I met some colleagues for a quick tour of their offices and then dinner and ice cream. As I headed back towards the apartment, the sun was setting and the light was amazing. Last year when I saw the Pont de Arts pedestrian bridge, there were quite a few locks on the bridge, but this year there seems to hardly be any more space. It's pretty amazing.
And the last photo for today is nothing special or grand. Just a simple Parisian home that caught my attention and maybe my imagination.
Until tomorrow!
